Kick off your July 4th weekend with the 5K for Independence Day! Invite your friends, family and neighbors to join in this family oriented run at Birdsall Memorial Park in Cedar Falls. All proceeds from the event benefit the Cedar Falls Star Spangled Sky Fireworks Festival.

5K starts at 8:00am on Saturday, July 3rd, 2010.
A Free Kids Fun Run will follow
LOCATION
The race will start and finish at Birdsall Park in Cedar Falls, IA.
The park is located on 12th Street near Pheasant Ridge Golf Course.
CHECK IN & PACKET PICK UP
There are two convenient ways to check in for the race:
1) Between 6:30am and 7:45am on race morning at Birdsall Park
2) The evening of Friday, July 2nd from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at The Runner's Flat. (Located at 115 E. 4th St, Cedar Falls)
REGISTRATION
Early bird registration is $16 prior to June 12; $18 after June 13 and before June 26; and $20 on race day. Families of four can register at a reduced rate of $56 if registered by June 26. Registration includes race packet, t-shirt*, one raffle entry and light refreshments. Registration can be made at Active.com or by downloading the event brochure and registration form here. 
*T-shirts are only guaranteed to pre-registered participants. AWARDS
Awards will be given to the top overall male and female finishers and the top three in each male and female age categories. Categories are: 12-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 & over. Children participating in the Kids Fun Runs will receive a certificate of participation or ribbon. CONTACT INFORMATION
