It was a cool and rainy day and no, this is not a story line, this was the weather on Saturday July 4^th. This was a day in which 82 runners participated in the 3rd Annual 5k for Independence Day race. The race started at 8:30am at Birdsall Park. Following the 5k race was the kids’ fun run (1/4-mile for kids under age 8; and about 1-mile for kid’s age 8 to 12)

Awards were given to the top overall male and female finishers and the top three in each male and female age categories. Categories are: 12-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 & over. Children participating in the Kids Fun Runs received a certificate of participation or ribbon.
